Under the auspices of the Jiangsu University Belt and Road University-Enterprises Alliance for Education and Cultivating International Talents, the 2018 Campus recruitment meeting was held on the January 5, 2018. The job-fair which was hosted and sponsored by the Overseas Education College (OEC) and organized by the School of Management, Jiangsu University witnessed a massive and impressive turnout of more than 150 graduate and post-graduate students.

The Dean for Oversea Education College, Prof. Jing Gao congratulated the participant for taking the first step toward their development. She further advised participant to take punctuality asamajor disciplinary measure in every endeavor. She announced, the oversea college was working on collaborative engagement with support from the Central Government to make the foreign student have the best opportunities while studying in China, especially at Jiangsu University.

According to the Dean, Jiangsu University Oversea Education College has taken a step further to establish the University Enterprise Corporation with total support from the Central Government under the One Belt One Road Initiative.

Jiangsu University is the first in the whole of China to have instituted this programme. The university has also established an international talent center for international students. The university is keen on developing every student suitable for the job market and also for mutual benefit between their respective countries and China, the Dean said.

Further to the collaborativemeasures, OEC will attach student to companies for in-depth on the Job training with the provision oftrainingresources and supervisors.

“This year’s winter snow signifies immense blessing for the year 2018 and every oversea student should be happy and hopeful.”

Prof.Lulin Zhou, Secretary of Party Committee, School of Management, encouragedthe participants tograbevery good opportunity introduced by the university. Base on the directions from the Central Government toward internationalization, the BeltandRoad Initiative seeks talents especially from an oversea student in China.“A Good opportunity is available to those who seek”, he said.

Company representatives from Shanghai Huawei Water Saving Irrigation Co. Ltd and Shiemge Pump Industry Group Co. Ltd, Chuanyue Technology Co. Ltd, Haohua Communication Co. Ltd, gave a brief introduction of their company and also announce the portfolios available for immediate placement.

Some of the companies were specific with Chinese Language proficiency as a minimum requirement. The check-list for some of the companies were expertise of the student, interested field among others.
